The Secretary General of the Commonwealth Nations, Ms Baroness Patricia, arrived at the Shantikunj Golden Jubilee Lecture Series on the university campus. On this occasion, Ms Patricia, a famous politician from England said that you all are still young and don’t miss the opportunity given by DSVV to you to increase your knowledge. Because this is a golden opportunity to improve your career. She said that the world will have to work only by threading the threads of knowledge, spirituality and hope into the threads of humanity and unity. She said that the world needs to work together for environmental protection and hunger to save humanity. The work being done for environmental protection and humanity under the leadership of All World Gayatri Parivar is a source of inspiration for the whole world along with the entire Commonwealth Nations.
Earlier, Dr Chinmay Pandya, Pro-Vice Chancellor of DSVV, while explaining the program outline, threw light on the creative activities of the university and the concepts and plans of Gayatri Teerth Shantikunj established by great freedom fighter Yugrishi Pujya Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya ji. Vice Chancellor Shri Sharad Pardhi expressed his gratitude to all. After this, the Vice-Chancellor and the Pro-Vice Chancellor honoured the Chief Guest British Diplomat Ms Patricia by presenting Gayatri Mantra written sheet, Gangajali, Yug Sahitya, memento etc.
Earlier, Chief Guest Ms. Patricia visited the only Baltic Center in Asia established at DSVV. Expressed happiness over the various activities being carried out by the Center in the expansion of Indian culture. During this, She also inspected the self-employment workshop and Gaushala which inspired self-employment. The Secretary-General, Ms Patricia prayed for Pragyeshwar Mahadev and prayed for world peace and planted saplings on the temple premises. During this, many members of DSVV and the Shantikunj family including all the heads of departments were present.
Afterwards, Ms Patricia reached Gayatri Shrine Shantikunj where she offered floral tributes at the holy samadhi of Yugrishi and prayed for the development of the entire humanity. Visited various departments of Shantikunj.
