Shri. Sharad Pardhy

Born on 27th April 1939, Shri Sharad Pardhy have had the privilege of gaining his professional acumen from University of Nagpur.

Born on 27th April 1939, Shri Sharad Pardhy have had the privilege of gaining his professional acumen from University of Nagpur. Thereafter, for more than two decades he subsequently had the opportunity to actively associate with a number of professional institutions in various capacities and enjoyed working with some of the very young creative minds.

His Professional practice

Alongside he also established his own professional practice in the field of ‘Architecture and Valuation’ and was in practice for last several decades. As a trained professional in the field of Architectural design, Shri Pardhy has been associated with various organizations and forums like Associate Member of Indian Institute of Architects, Registered member of Council of Architecture, Fellow of Indian Institute of Valuers, etc.

A Visiting Faculty Member

Sir is also a visiting faculty member at Regional college of Engineering, Nagpur, Priyadarshani College of Architecture, Wadi Nagpur, College of Engineering & Architecture, Gondia, etc. where he has imparted his knowledge to the students in different fields like architectural design and Building construction, Real Estate Valuation, etc.

As an experienced academician and professional Sir has served as examiner of Architectural subjects of Nagpur University, as Architect of various projects of Nagpur university, Valuer of the Maharashtra cooperative housing Finance society for valuation of residential buildings, etc.

As a Social Activist

He has been actively involved in various upliftment projects with All World Gayatri Pariwar and other social organizations like Rotary club, etc. He is a key member of the parent sponsoring organization, Ved Mata Gayatri Trust, and also serves as the Editor of the monthly magazine, Akhand Jyoti, Marathi. As a Recipient of Meritorious service Award from Rotary International for his exceptional services, Sir is instrumental in contributing to the volunteer based model of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. With his guidance and experience, the university is progressing every moment towards its mission.

Dr. Sukh Dev Sharma, born in Haryana on 15 November 1948, is an internationally known scientist in Agricultural Statistics and Computer Applications. Having graduated in Science with First Class First Position from University of Delhi, he completed his Masters (1970) and Ph. D. (1975) in Agricultural Statistics from the premiere agricultural research institution namely Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He has served, in various Faculty Positions, at different State Agricultural Universities, viz. Udaipur University, Udaipur, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, Bihar and then went on to serve as Research Manager at ICAR as Director, Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi as well as at ICAR Headquarters as Assistant Director General(HRD) and Controller of Examination(Education Division), ICAR covering a total period of 36 years and with distinction.

His Teaching Career

He taught and conducted research in Statistics and Computer Applications over a period of 34 years. He has taught Statistics at graduate and postgraduate level at the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania for 2 years. He has guided several students for their Masters degree in agricultural statistics and computer applications as major advisor and also guided several research scholars for their Masters/Doctoral degrees in agriculture as minor advisor. He served as University Professor and Chairman for more than 10 years.

Positions Held

He has also served as Director of Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute New Delhi with distinction for more than a decade (from 1997 to 2008) bringing in all round development at this very prestigious Institute and leading the development in agricultural statistics at national and international levels. Several important national level research projects have been completed under his leadership and overall guidance at IASRI. He has been the Chairman/member of various State level, National level and International level bodies/committees and office bearers of various professional bodies in Agricultural Statistics and Computer Applications. He has been the Secretary of Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics for 10 years and continues as the Vice President of Society of Statistics, Computers and Applications as well as that of Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics. In the year 2005, he was the Sessional President for 59th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics at SKUAST(J), Jammu where he delivered the Technical Address on “ICT as Tool for Information, Knowledge Management and Intelligence”. He has more than 50 publications, 2 book/book chapter. Besides, a computer software RAUSTAT has been developed by him for Statistical analysis of research data.

Dr. Mishra has done doctorate in philosophy from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.

He worked as Scientist at NDRI, Karnal, Senior faculty at NISIET, Hyderabad, the Chief Executive of Information Technology, Business Incubator and Centre of Learning and Education of GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi established at JSS Academy of Technical Education. He was Director of Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, UP, Lucknow (promoted by IDBI, IFCI, ICICI & Government of India) and Director, Behavioral Science at National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development, New Delhi.

In Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya

He has worked as the founder Vice-Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Gayatrikunj-Shantikunj, Haridwar — a University primarily aiming to be the centre of excellence in the area of yogic science & complimentary system of treatment to physical & mental disorders with the help of yog, yajna, ayurveda, naturopathy, panchkarma, accupressure, pranic healing & spiritual therapy.

His Teaching Career

He has taught M.Sc, Ph.D and Post-Graduate Diploma students and has been Ph.D external examiner of institute of repute & eminence like Tata Institute of Social Sciences, IARI, NDRI etc. He has published eight books and more than 40 articles. Involved in teaching & guiding Ph.D students in the areas of Indian System of Management. He is invited as resource person by various corporate houses for Executive Development Programmes and programmes relating to HRD. He is specialised in the areas of motivation development, OD intervention, inter personal relationship, personal growth & development; and life management techniques.

His Other Achievements

He is member of various national-level organizations/institutions such as Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, CBSE, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi, JSS Mahavidyapeeth, Krishna Group of Institutes, different universities, voluntary organizations etc. He is also the Vice-President, Indian Yoga Association, New Delhi.

As a chief resource person, he designed programmes and provided inputs and organized workshops sponsored by Commonwealth Secretariat, London in Zambia, Bangladesh, Pakistan. Brunei, Sri Lanka and Singapore. He visited Netherlands for a 3-week interaction programme sponsored by UNDP. He worked in Maldives as a Consultant to devise strategy for youth enterprise development.

There is need for an educational institution which could mould its students into noble and enlightened human beings: selfless, warm-hearted, compassionate and kind.
