DSVV Yoga Team Shines at Inter-University National Yoga Competition

A 14-member yoga team from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), Haridwar, participated in the Inter-University National Yoga Competition held at Rajiv Gandhi University, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The competition saw participation from [130 participants / students from around 1,500 universities across the country] — [please confirm the correct figure].
DSVV’s women’s team secured second place in the group category. In the individual events, Jyoti Kumari won a silver medal and Shweta won a bronze medal, once again bringing recognition to Uttarakhand and the university.
On the team’s return to Haridwar, they received a warm welcome from the university family, including Chancellor Dr. Pranav Pandya, Vice-Chancellor [Sharad Pardhi / Pradhi — please confirm spelling], Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chinmay Pandya, Registrar [Baldau/Baldev] Dewangan, and the Dean of Student Welfare.
Chancellor Dr. Pranav Pandya congratulated the team, saying that yoga is like a “Sanjeevani booti” (life-restoring herb) in daily life, helping bring physical and mental balance. He praised the girls’ team for embracing the principles of yoga in their own lives and encouraged all students to do the same.
