Brief Background of the Department

Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya was established by Pt. Shri Ram Sharma Acharya in 2000.and the main Subject is to establish this university was that to build the pillar of Vidya ,Sanskar and culture with Education into the Student .Human have to forward his step from the normal way to create the spirituality intelligence thoughts into the students . the department of Music of DSVV established by the blessings and under the Guidance of Chancellor Param Shraddhyay Dr. Pranav Pandya and the Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Chinamay Pandya Ji in 2008.

In the Guidance of Pro VC Sir the Department of Music was organized by the Dr. Shivnarayaan Sir. In this Department we were encouraged the Student and also there were so many Music related competition were organized such as Pragya Geet,Pragya Yug Sangeet etc.

In 2008 Music Department of DSVV was opened and the 1^st HOD of this Department was Dr. Shivnarayan Prasad and he is also the present HOD of Indian Classical Music Department since 2008.

Due to the Demands of the Students and there parents DSVV has Started the M.A. Course in Music 2014, B.A. course in Music started from 2016 and other courses in the Music was B.A. Honors ,MA ,PhD etc.

Since 2020 DSVV Music Department has also the started M.A. in Tabla/Pakhawaj and the beside of these course Music Department of DSVV also promoting the student in Social work and Social song such as Pragya Geet ,Music Competition etc. These all such activity has continuously organizing by the Music Scholar and the HOD of Music Department Dr. Shivnarayan Prasad .
