Department of Tourism Management celebrated World Tourism Day 2022 in the university.
Various positive competitions were organized by the Department of Tourism Management on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2022 in the university. The competition for positive change in the students was made in accordance with the dignity of the university and its mission. Discipline, time management, program management, management efficiency, affinity, and cooperation The promotion of qualities like respect was the main result of World Tourism Day.
Simultaneously, on the occasion of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya competition series and World Tourism Day, a total of 10 types of competitions were organized under Online Dev Sanskriti Awards. Many other competitions like painting competition, rangoli competition, self-written poetry writing competition, web designing competition, and essay writing were also organized.
On the last day of the program, the respected Pro-Vice Chancellor sir came as the chief guest. His address, Respected Pro-Vice Chancellor, made the students aware of how to improve India’s tourist places. On this occasion all the staff members including the head of the department were present.

Experienced professors of the Faculty of Rural Management and Sustainable Development, who have done remarkable work in the field of self-reliance, rural development and entrepreneurship, such senior professors were also awarded Entrepreneur Protsahan Samman.
In the presence of Shri Satish ji (All India co-organization Swadeshi Jagran Manch), Dr. Rajiv (Region Convenor Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Swadeshi Jagran Manch) and Shri Rajkumar ji (India Campaign Committee, Haridwar) and other dignitaries, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Respected Dr Chinmay Pandya Ji presided over the program.

National Service Scheme Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm in Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. The National Service Scheme was implemented in 37 universities by the then Education Minister of India, Dr VKRV Rao, on 24 September 1969, during Gandhi’s centenary year. At that time there were 40 thousand volunteers in the NSS. Its main objective is to develop the personality and character of the students as well as make them aware of the service of the nation.
The number of its cadets has increased manifold since its inception and according to the official website of NSS, at present, there are 38 lakh volunteers in the country.
On this occasion, the unit of the National Service Scheme organized various competitions and launched awareness campaigns. Intellectual program and prize distribution were done in the evening, in which all the volunteers got the guidance of the respected Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr Chinmay Pandya Ji. Respected Pro-Vice-ChancellorvSir inspired the volunteers to work with full seriousness and enthusiasm for this year’s theme ‘Drug-Free Uttarakhand – Sanskar Yukt Uttarakhand’. He further said that drug de-addiction is essential not only for Uttarakhand but for the whole of India and Gayatri Parivar is working on this for the last fifty years through more than five thousand centres spread across the world.
At the end of the program, the respected Pro-Vice-Chancellor and respected Registrar ji awarded the winners of the competitions.

Zero Emission Day was celebrated on 21 September 2022 by the Department of Environmental Science. Various interesting competitions were organized by the students of the department.
The program started with the lighting of the lamp by Dr Arunesh Parashar and the teachers of the department in front of the Kulpita and Kulmata Ji.
After this, the graduating children gave some interesting information about Zero Emission Day through a quiz competition and how carbon emissions are polluting our environment nowadays. How carbon footprint can be reduced through quiz competition by all the students and also through a documentary related to this, know about carbon footprint in detail.
